As the Christmas holiday draws near, so do seasonal gatherings and celebratory soirees. This year, as you gear up to host friends and family, or attend other events as a guest, spreading holiday cheer is as simple as Basil Hayden’s bourbon. A favored Kentucky spirit for almost three decades, Basil Hayden’s is a rich and enjoyable offering woven into the fabric of America’s bourbon heritage. This unique straight bourbon is patiently aged to taste in American white oak barrels. It balances delicate notes of dried apricots, figs, and vanilla, and a smooth, silky palate of pecan pralines and black pepper.
Whether stocking your home bar or whipping up a festive holiday punch for a seasonal fête, this iconic bourbon is your go-to companion. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks, but don’t be afraid to leverage its versatility mixed up in a classic cocktail or a festive punch such as A Very Hayden’s Holiday. This bold and refreshing punch layers the complex flavors of Basil Hayden’s with sherry, apple cider, and ginger-infused syrup with the orange and bergamot spices of Earl Grey tea and Angostura Bitters. Serve this punch to kick off your occasion along with a versatile charcuterie board from Fount Board & Table. Complete with smoky cured meats, savory cheeses, olives, fruit, spiced nuts, and seasonal jams, these Texas-sized snacking spreads pair beautifully with bourbon.
And if you’re simply in search of the perfect hostess or under-the-tree gift, make it a bottle of Basil Hayden’s—be sure to wrap up a few choice cocktail-making tools for a season’s greeting that will keep on giving!
