Francis “Prince” Kobty was born in Nazareth, Israel, and came to this country in search of the American Dream. He immediately embraced the spirit of Texas the moment he arrived in the States, especially the aspect of Southern hospitality.  Francis’ core values were always doing the right thing, working hard, and giving back to his community. His relentless work ethic and loving passion impacted everyone he came into contact with. Prince discovered at an early age he could express love to his friends and family by cooking for them. In doing so, Prince was always the dedicated chef at all family events and became very passionate about his craft. Food was the most meaningful way to express and share his culture, because it didn’t matter who you were in the community—everyone loves heartful cuisine.

Eventually, Prince turned this passion into a brick & mortar restaurant and opened the original Prince Lebanese Grill in 1989. It was founded on our basic principles: serving the freshest, high-quality ingredients in our food and treating people like family. At Prince Lebanese Grill, we preach food, family, and community because that’s how dad always did it. Francis taught us everything we do here—his core values and how he’d always strive for perfection, “Consistency is king!” He believed in making everything he came across better than how he found it. As a tribute to dad, we continue to pour our hearts into everything we do, from our crispy light falafels to our spicy Shawarma plates. We keep it old school without fancy decorations or white tablecloths—at Prince, our food speaks for itself.

The culture and the cuisine at Prince Lebanese Grill have even been showcased on the Food Network by Guy Fieri on multiple occasions. Our appearances on Guys Big Bite; Diners, Drive-ins and Dives; and later Guy Fieri’s Triple D Nation have shown the world our food portions are as big as our Texas spirit. As a testament of Prince’s dedication to our craft, we have become a staple to the Arlington community over the years. This includes our awards at Taste of Arlington, including “Best Entrée” and “Best Restaurant.” Prince has been repeatedly invited to serve as a Celebrity Chef for the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, Celebrity Chef for College Gameday 2022 Big 12 Championship, the Arlington Eats guest Chef for the Texas Rangers, and even invited on stage to feed the cast of College Gameday live on ESPN for the BIG 12 Championship .  Most importantly, we have been serving the greater DFW area for more than 30 years, catering to city leaders, schools, businesses, and everyone in between.

Ultimately, Prince’s success has allowed us the opportunity to introduce even more people to the culture, values, and delicious cuisine that is Prince Lebanese Grill. Thank you for stopping by, we hope to serve you again soon. Have a blessed day!
