Since its inception in 1839, The Dalmore single malt has been at the very forefront of innovation. Maturation in a range of casks, including Sherry casks available only to the distillery, deliver whiskies of uncommon depth and elegance.

In the spirit of the holiday season, The Dalmore suggests three all-time favorites for your consideration—each sure to make your cup of cheer more, well, cheerful. And happy holidays.

The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve

Designed to be the perfect complement to a fine cigar, the Cigar Malt Reserve is initially matured in American oak Bourbon barrels. Some of the maturing whisky is then apportioned between rare Sherry casks that first held a 30-year-old Oloroso, and wine barriques from Bordeaux. Bursting with maple candies, red berry fruits, and spice, it’s a uniquely robust whisky—cigar in hand or not.

The Dalmore 18

This rounded, rich whisky tells the story of The Dalmore’s love affair with Spain in liquid form. After fourteen years in Bourbon barrels, every drop is transferred to 30-year-old Oloroso Sherry casks exclusive to the distillery. The result is full of dark chocolate and orange segments, and capable of turning any moment properly festive.

The Dalmore King Alexander III

The stately King Alexander III brings together six different cask finishes, making use of exclusive 30-Year Oloroso Sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Tawny Port, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bourbon barrels. The name is a nod to The Dalmore’s royal heritage, which stretches back to the year 1263, when an ancestor of the whisky makers at the distillery—leader of Clan Mackenzie—saved the king from a charging stag. This silken, layered single malt is worthy of the name, and deserving of any whisky enthusiast’s attention.
