Becker Vineyards located in Fredericksburg, Texas was named Top All Around Winery and earned Top Texas Wine at the 2023 Rodeo Uncorked!® International Wine Competition. The competition was held November 11 – 13, at NRG Center and featured 3,071 entries from 18 countries, including Argentina, Bulgaria, France, Israel, Italy, South Africa, and Spain. Of those entries, 531 entries were from Texas wineries, and 160 entries came from this year’s featured region, Australia.
Becker Vineyards entered twenty-seven wines in this year’s competition. Most notable was the Becker Vineyards Barbera, Tallent Vineyards, Texas Hill Country, 2019 which earned them the coveted title of Top Texas Wine for 2023. In addition, they earned numerous Class Champion and Texas Class Champion awards along with several Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.

Becker Vineyards is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the Texas Hill Country. The vineyard was established in 1992 by Dr. Richard Becker, who planted the first vines on the property with the help of his son, Joe. Since then, Becker Vineyards has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Hill Country, thanks to its stunning views, award-winning wines, and friendly staff. The first vines planted at Becker Vineyards were Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage of their Cabernet Sauvignon earned a Gold medal and Reserve Texas Class Champion award in the 2023 Rodeo competition.

The vineyard is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Pedernales River Valley, and it features a picturesque pond and lush gardens.
