For travelers and locals alike, Virgin Hotels Dallas will be a must-visit destination to enjoy the best of Spring. From rooftop views of the iconic downtown Dallas skyline to live entertainment, versatile indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy warmer weather in style, and a mix of casual to upscale dining options—Virgin Hotels intermixes a passion for culinary excellence with music and programming that fuses with the vibrant local landscape. Best of all? You can save up to 30% on your stay with the hotel’s Texas Resident Rate.

Opening its doors in December of 2019, Virgin Hotels Dallas has quickly become a landmark in the Dallas Design District exuding a chic and bold aesthetic with a cultivated multi-million dollar original art collection. The new-build hotel features 268 Chambers that includes two Penthouse Suites, The Pool Club, a fourth-floor rooftop bar and pool, and multiple dining and drinking outlets, including its flagship restaurant, bar and lounge, Commons Club, and Funny Library Coffee Shop.

Virgin Hotels Dallas is the first hotel to pop up in the Design District, which boasts a vast array of furniture shops, interior design studios, art galleries, museums, and restaurants. Ranging from a 323 square-foot King (it’s true, everything is bigger in Texas) to the 1,395 square-foot Sir Richard’s Flat Penthouse, Chambers are residential-inspired retreats featuring calm palettes, white oak millwork, mid-century style furnishings, and Design District-sourced accessories and lighting. No matter which type of room you book, any chamber can be transformed into a suite by closing the sliding privacy doors, separating the living and sleeping areas. Making your stay even more luxurious, every room is outfitted with Virgin’s patented ergonomically designed bed, a red SMEG® mini-fridge stocked with street-priced snacks, yoga mats, and a separate Dressing Room. A must to get dolled up for a night out on the town, Dressing Rooms include a full vanity tucked between two white oak closets, a sit-down makeup desk, and an extra large shower with a bench. Oh, and did we mention? As a pet-friendly hotel with no breed or size limitations, Chambers come with a bed for Fido as comfortable as your own.

Nestled on the ground floor, Commons Club is designed to feel like a modern social club in a playful, sophisticated environment. The kitchen features seasonally-driven cuisine prepared with classic and modern French techniques. Boujee Tots with creme fraiche and smoked trout roe, anyone? Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch on weekends, the restaurant features an open kitchen with a community chef’s table and wrap-around, dog-friendly patio. Custom Kintsugi wall-coverings add an interesting art and architectural element to the main dining room, while rice-paper lighting by Spanish Designer Jaime Hayon, used en masse, creates an artistic installation. An intimate dining area with wood-paneled walls and cozy velvet booths can be curtained off for a private dining experience. Come happy hour, you’ll likely find yourself at the crown jewel of Commons Club, an ellipse-shaped, marble-topped bar with a custom gold brass canopy serving up a collection of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and bubbles. Adjacent to the bar is The Shag Room, a ’70s-inspired space with winding serpentine ruched banquette and smoked mirrors ideal for cocktails or an intimate reception.

Also located on the ground floor is Funny Library Coffee Shop, pouring La Colombe, and offering a selection of teas by J’enwey Tea Company, along with house-made pastries and grab & go snacks. Whether you’re looking to catch up with friends or catch up on your inbox, Funny Library offers a mix of communal workspaces and intimate alcoves, as well as an assortment of artful and entertaining books and games. Walnut wood-paneled walls and a coffered ceiling with brass inlays intermingle with checkerboard tables to create a whimsical space to work or recharge.

Set against a backdrop of scenic skyline views, The Pool Club—the fourth-floor rooftop bar and pool—combines multiple indoor and outdoor thoughtfully designed spaces ready for friends to lounge, play, and splash. Enjoy the best views of downtown Dallas with seasonal cocktails and shared bites  in hand, as local DJs keep the playground lively, spinning the latest tracks. For sunny weather, the glass-encased bar at The Pool Club can instantly open up to become an outdoor experience. Greenery and trees strung with Moroccan lanterns create a rooftop oasis complete with a ping pong table, tree swing, fire pit, and red spin chairs. Poolside loungers and daybeds—complimentary for hotel guests and available to non-hotel guests with a pool day pass, cabana rental, or ticketed event—provide the perfect setting to catch some rays. If you’re really looking to elevate your afternoon, book your own private cabana fully stocked with a TV, towels, and mini-fridge with fruits and drinks.
