Jennifer Love Hewitt strips, dances, and sings in a video promoting her new Lifetime series, The Client List. In the racy video, Hewitt wears only a men’s dress shirt as a group of towel-clad men encircle her. Hewitt sings Sweet Charity’s “Hey, Big Spender:”

The series, just as the Lifetime movie that preceded it, is based on Katy Vine’s 2005 TEXAS MONTHLY story on Odessa’s Healing Touch prostitution parlor and Lexus, the 22-year-old hooker and former Big Spring cheerleader, who “brought Odessa to its knees.”

On the series, Hewitt will play a housewife who begins hooking at a day spa and Cybill Shepherd will play her mother. Broadway World summed up the plot this way:

The Client List is about a Texas housewife (Hewitt), who, after being deserted by her husband, is left in deep financial straits and takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa in a neighboring town. When she realizes massages aren’t the only services on the menu, she quickly grabs the opportunity to relieve her financial hardships by partnering with the parlor’s feisty and disorganized owner to run the business. The series will follow her as she delicately balances two starkly different lives — one as a single mom in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family and the other as a savvy and ambitious businesswoman working with a rowdy, sexy and unpredictable group of women.

The ten-episode series will begin airing in March, according to the show’s Facebook page.

Perez Hilton was thrilled about the development: “Oh, if ever there was a low-budget Lifetime movie that warranted being turned into a TV series.” And the Daily Mail collected a bunch of racy photos from the video.

The show seems to be part of an effort of Lifetime to rebrand itself. “This is not your mother’s Lifetime,” Hewitt says of the racy series in a clip about making the music video:
