There are plenty of singer-songwriter duos wandering the streets of the Live Music Capital with big dreams, acoustic guitars, Western-style shirts, and goofy hats. But not all of those hopefuls are picked for Adam Levine’s team on The Voice or spend the years after their time on the reality competition peaking topping the iTunes rock chart. So it’s safe to say that Austin folkies Dawn and Hawkes—that’s Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes—have had a solid lead-up to the release of their debut full-length album, Yours & Mine.

Just in case you missed their impressive build-up, get to know them a bit with this exclusive video premiere for single “Almost Mine.” It’s a low-key, mellow duet that sounds particularly good on a day when it’s finally starting to feel like fall—and the video, which was shot in one take in an abandoned house in the middle of the Colorado Mountains, gives an idea of how Dawn and Hawkes relate to one another (spoiler: they like to make really intense eye contact with each other while they sing). The pair’s performance in a single room of an empty house with walls scratched with the names of travelers is undeniably intimate, and just might save you from the Monday doldrums.
