For the second installment of our new video series, “Tastemakers: A Local’s Guide to Our Favorite Cities,” we look to the beloved Mike Casey, who’s often called the “unofficial mayor” of the eclectic San Antonio neighborhood, King William. The retired lawyer turned co-owner of Isaac Maxwell Lighting Studio has been a fixture around the ‘hood, which sits a stone’s throw from the San Antonio River, since he moved there in 1972. He is best known for riding his bicycle along the charming streets of historic homes while wearing a seersucker suit and brimmed hat, or a smart tweed number topped off with a herringbone driver’s hat. He’s been a champion for his neighborhood and a devout arts patron. Come along for a ride through Casey’s San Antonio.

In this series, we will visit a different Texas city each month, and a stylish Texan or two will lead us on a video tour of their towns. We will celebrate classic dives and explore new shops and off-the-beaten-path gems. In case you missed our kickoff tour of Forth Worth with the Block family, watch it here.
