Mark Nesmith is an educator and Beaumont native. He also writes music, paints, and used to think he had to leave southeast Texas pursue an artist lifestyle. Years later, he’s returned to his hometown, realizing just how much he took it for granted. And he hopes to pass this lesson down to his students—that creativity blooms wherever you plant your roots.
