A Kentucky man who took to YouTube to defend Laredo's honor is being rewarded with the key to the city.

Jack Strunk, a former Laredo resident who now lives in Lancaster, Kentucky, was so offended by the hateful, racist venom spewed in the "Sara Hates Laredo" video he turned on his camera and filmed his inaugural YouTube clip in response.

"You have the most wonderful people in the world there," Strunk said of Laredo, his wife's hometown where he lived for seven years. He came to the city's defense despite losing both his legs and sight when a drag racing car hit him in Laredo eight years ago.

Now, according to WKYT Lexington, a delegation from Laredo will be traveling to Kentucky to give Strunk the key to the city, as well as some Mexican food from his favorite restaurant.
