F&B, short for “Food and Beverage,” is the newest hot spot on South Padre Island. The menu is focused on farm-to-table cuisine, with simple ingredients and skilled execution. Our meal started with a fresh mixed-greens salad with a tangy, light lemon vinaigrette. We moved on to the soft-shell crab that was smoked, then fried in a crunchy tempura batter and served vertically atop a fantastic chorizo-and-corn relish with microgreens. Our main feature was a hearty braised duck tagliatelle. We spied a great-looking burger at the next table and are planning a trip back to check it out.
