This is the result of a poll ranking states from most conservative to least conservative.Texas (12th) doesn’t make the list of the ten most conservative states, which are: Mississippi Idaho Alabama Wyoming Utah South Dakota Louisiana North Dakota South Carolina Arkansas Most of the states on this list are “losers” by the standards of modern American politics. None has as many as ten electoral votes. Most are overwhelmingly rural. The exception is South Carolina, which lost its seventh congressman in 1930 and regained it in the 2010 census after eighty years. The “most liberal” list is led by the District of Columbia: D.C. Massachusetts Hawaii Vermont Rhode Island New Jersey New York Alaska Connecticut Washington Maine (California ranks as the 13th most liberal state) I am very surprised to see Alaska on this list. It doesn’t belong there.
