Right before release of Texas Monthly’s latest edition of the Top 50 barbecue joints lists, we took our beloved annual barbecue festival on the road. Texas Monthly BBQ Fest: Road Trip Edition benefitting Feeding Texas and the network of food banks. The road trip featured three Pit Stop events with a total of 800 guests from the Rio Grande Valley to the Panhandle, while celebrating barbecue joints in every corner of the state with Texas Monthly BBQ Week, which featured special prices and menu items at more than 60 joints statewide.

For the duration of the festivities, Texas Monthly has been committed to helping end hunger in Texas by supporting Feeding Texas and the network of food banks. As we traveled around Texas celebrating barbecue, we wanted to lend support to our neighbors in need. 2021 BBQ Fest sponsor, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, will generously match donation proceeds up to $20,000 until October 31, 2021. Every donation to Feeding Texas helps ensure that 6 million food insecure Texans have access to the healthy food they need.
