Bangkok by way of Corpus Christi may sound suspect, but it absolutely isn’t with Thai-born-and-bred Ben Hague at the helm. The restaurant’s decor palette of creamy whites, grays, and silvers sets a lovely stage for dishes like Golden Money Bags, Hague’s take on a fried shrimp-and-pork wonton and seemingly everyone’s go-to app. Classics like pad see ew and Tiger Cry deliver as promised, and the bar takes good care with cocktails. Brunch brings not only candied bacon but also Holy Wings, a mash-up of Shipley’s donuts with BKK’s sesame-garlic wings.
