Its many loyal East Texas customers mourned when, late last year, the pandemic brought an end to the 28-year run of this old-time cafe, located just thirty miles from the Louisiana border. Happily, though, Dudley’s is back in business. Now repurposed to meet the needs of a new era, it’s focused on catering and food truck service. The menu hasn’t changed much, as far as we can tell, still offering delectable fare like the Hank Williams Jr. combo, which comes with generous portions of jambalaya, gumbo (their Zydeco kind, with seafood, chicken, and sausage), and a crisp crawfish pie.
