This Dallas import in the River Oaks Shopping Center is known for its urbanized Texas comfort food and “the world’s coldest martini.” And indeed, a great many of the guests we saw were sipping generous, presumably well-chilled martinis. The appetizers here are designed for sharing, especially the seafood tower with oysters and prawns on ice (its chipotle remoulade dipping sauce is alone worth the trip). Another hit: mountainous deviled eggs lightly drizzled with hot chile oil. Sushi choices are many, but we were slightly underwhelmed with our snow crab California roll. Healthful salads are ample as well as easy to share—our grilled tuna with ginger vinaigrette was composed like a Cobb. A flavorful entrée of blackened redfish proved ultra-fresh and meaty, sided by perfectly steamed broccoli dusted with Parmesan. Many long-time followers come for the restaurant’s deservedly famous Hudson House cheeseburger. In our opinion the decadent lobster roll is only a few notches behind. Anticipate superb service.
