Situated right on the harbor of the Galveston Yacht Basin, this open-air eatery is a great spot to enjoy a meal and cocktail while watching the passing parade of fishing boats and cruise ships. You’ll find a variety of Cajun dishes, like fried gator bites, gumbo, and seafood po’boys, but certainly the most popular dish would be the fish and chips; maybe it has something to do with owner Paul Murdoch’s hailing from the UK, but the haddock is battered and fried to perfection. Weekends have live music, and when it’s the right season, Paul and his wife and co-owner, Michelle, serve Cajun-style crawfish and boiled blue crab complete with all the fixin’s. Breakfast is served every day in high season and weekends in low.
