Consistently one of the busiest of all the stylish eateries in the chic Shops at Clearfork, this favorite place for a greatest-hits menu of Thai and Vietnamese dishes just gets better all the time. Modern interpretations include addictive lemongrass mussels in a bath of coconut milk and white wine brightly flavored by jalapeños and Thai basil. A smart play on pad Thai was the noodle dish topped with Georges Bank sea scallops in a piquant tamarind sauce. We found beauty in both flavor and presentation of the braised lamb shank with a soft-boiled egg, all enveloped in a peanut-tamarind massaman curry sauce that enveloped eggplant and ginger. Nods to vegan diners included the salad of skinny rice noodles mingled with Bibb lettuce, cilantro and mint, sprouts and crushed peanuts, all crowned with pieces of crispy fried handmade tofu. When we’re watching our budget, we pop by at happy hour for the good deals on pairings like vibrant cucumber salad with chargrilled Vietnamese-style pork-scallion meatballs with curry. Inspired cocktails and appetizers make this a perfect spot for dining at the bar.
