Downtown Dallas was lucky to land an outpost of this Fort Worth taqueria. USA Today once featured its burritos in a “best of” round-up. We, however, are big fans of the tacos. We order them old-school style, with two corn tortillas, onion, cilantro, and a lime wedge; although delicious with just those condiments, they’re also good with the house salsas (ranging from tangy tomatillo to three fiery varieties). We scarf down the lengua taco with gusto; the tender, beefy tongue could win over any squeamish skeptic. Tacos filled with char-edged carne asada, as well as tender braised barbacoa (beef cheeks), are also addictive. And that burrito? Packed with beans, rice, and your choice of meat (we love the barbacoa), it lives up to the hype. We’ll be back for a late-night breakfast taco.
