We asked about the name. Our waiter smiled: “The owner just likes things that fly.” Hmm. Okay. The crowd at entrepreneur Shannon Wynne’s storied bar and restaurant is fun and eclectic and the American fare well done. The Two Fresh Hen Eggs breakfast was distinguished by crispy skillet potatoes and spicy house-made sausage. The P.C. Cobb Salad came loaded with tender, moist shredded chicken and whole quarters of fresh avocado and chunks of blue cheese bolstered by two slices of crispy prosciutto. For dessert, we had a special: warm, crisp-crusted cherry-coconut cobbler. Indoors, it’s cool and dark, with stained-glass homages to Elvis, Chuck, and Jerry Lee.
