When you’re hoping for a low-key night on the town, it’s great to know you can always rely on neighborhood favorites like Asti. Greeted with little toasts topped with fresh kale pesto and cherry tomatoes, we settled on a delicious salad of raw and fried brussels sprouts and seasonal pea-and-mint bruschetta topped with fresh ricotta—a table favorite. Spicy guanciale rigatoni in house-made tomato ragù was warm and comforting, as was a Neapolitan-style capicola and cherry pepper pizza. Warm Italian donuts dusted with cinnamon and sugar alongside a classic affogato (vanilla gelato doused with a shot of espresso) was the only way to end a memorable evening.
