This bustling New York City–born coffee cafe from two Aussies buzzes with a vast Australia-meets-Texas menu and sunny, open-space vibes. It’s the place to rise and shine with a full coffee bar, fresh “fluffy” juices, smoothies, and a filling breakfast or brunch, as well as light delights and big burgers served all day. The signature homemade cheddar-chive biscuit “brekkie sandwich” is scrumptious, with scrambled eggs, melted cheese, thick sliced bacon, and tomato chutney. Also stick-to-your-ribs is the pulled pork “benny” with soft poached eggs, pickled red onions, cilantro, and chipotle hollandaise. Those with a sweet tooth might consider the nutty Banana Bread French toast with caramelized bananas and miso butterscotch, while health nuts will devour the Smashing Avocado toast on thick multigrain, or the granola and yogurt bowl with house-baked granola, berries, and banana. Only the harissa chicken bowl—light on the chicken—with couscous, diced kale, pistachios and dates didn’t jibe. It arrived a bit moist, and some bites were gummy.
