Downstairs is a casual, come-as-you-are pizzeria helmed by Nick Badovinus (see Perfect Union Pizza, below). Upstairs, Julian Barsotti, of Nonna and Carbone’s fame, runs an old-school-Italian restaurant with chandeliers, white tablecloths, and tuxedoed waiters. On either floor, the Highland Park crowd is buzzing and beautiful people abound. Dining at Fachini, we ordered the crab cocktail, which arrived in a chilled clear-glass bowl with large lumps of fresh crab atop a tangy house-made rémoulade with tiny bits of crisp celery. We followed with classic cappelletti bolognese and sole piccata, every ingredient melding beautifully.
