After eating the Hobo Scramble at this kitschy little spot (eggs, bacon, and home fries, to which we added a side of biscuits and gravy), we felt ready to jump on a freight train. With just a few nosy questions, we learned that “Lizzy” is actually Elizabeth Rivera, who honed her cooking skills in Guanajuato, Mexico. We asked her son, Cesar, if there was a plan to include Mexican fare in the future and he told us that they were happily focused on American comfort food. We let him know that we are comforted by tacos as much as by chicken-fried steak.
