Really no more than a hole in the wall, adjacent to the railroad tracks and a stone’s throw from the courthouse, this quaint lunch cafe is crazy busy; we endured twenty minutes of busy signal when we tried to call ahead. It would seem the delicious fare is worth it. The smoked-chicken quesadillas (with romaine, pico de gallo, and a yummy cilantro cream sauce) did not disappoint, and the spring salad, with marinated red onions, spiced pecans, apples, and a light cider vinaigrette, was excellent for an early fall day. Once safely ensconced at our table, we were amused to see the phone sitting off the hook.
