This permanently parked food truck—with twenty years under its tires—is bare bones, but the menu is way better than basic. Open late on the weekends, it’s there for you when you need an emergency taco, and people watching can be your side order. Depending on the crowd, your taquitos will be ready in a minute or half an hour; there is only so much two cooks can do in the tiny kitchen. But whatever the wait, you won’t be disappointed: street-style mollejas (sweetbreads) tacos on corn, fajitas, even hot dogs and hamburguesas, full of Westside verve and vigor. We lean on the classics here, such as spicy, double-wrapped carne asada mini tacos. Word to the wise: check the Facebook page for weather-related and other closures.
