This casual cafe, coffee shop, and bar charms with Old World Italian vibes and a short menu of accessible fare. It’s the brainchild of Duro Hospitality, the group behind Sister (next door) and the Charles; all three menus are overseen by chef-partner J Chastain. Order at the marble bar and take a seat to enjoy items such as the polenta and poached egg “cups,” breakfast standouts with all manner of ingredients. One features wild mushrooms, pickled corn, Parmesan, and goat cheese; another, zesty meatballs and jalapeño. Baked goods include moist olive oil cake and Italian sausage klobasniky with grainy mustard. After 11 a.m., there are pizzette and panini, among them a muffuletta with mortadella and Wagyu pastrami.
