Nestled comfortably in the Highland Park neighborhood for over a decade, this sophisticated spot serves mainly soufflés, both savory and sweet. We always start with the Marshmallow Soup, a cream-based tomato soup drizzled with pesto and topped with “marshmallows” of melted goat cheese, as well as the house salad with blue cheese, roasted pecans, and slices of tart green apple. Our main soufflé choice was a seasonal special, duck à l’orange, the fluffy goodness augmented by lovely earthenware. Making a soufflé is a science, and Rise has it down.
