A hidden gem tucked in Austin’s Northwest Hills, this intimate outpost serves up classic Tuscan-inspired fare. We started with sweet, tender bites of baked prosciutto-wrapped Mission figs that sang with a glass of sparkling rosé. Walnut-crusted trout bathed in a tarragon beurre blanc had just the right touch of lemony brightness, but it was the smoky grilled veal chop, served atop a comforting bed of sautéed potato, onion, and bacon fricassee, that stole the show. We savored a shared cheese plate to finish, slowly lingering in the warm atmosphere as we finished our Chianti.
