The Bearded Lady

Relocated to South Main Village, the reinvented edition of this popular beer-and-burgers hangout offers more seating and an expanded menu in a restored warehouse. The famous L.U.S.T. Burger returns, with every bit of its roasted poblano, feta, and smoked Gouda, sautéed onion and avocado magic intact. Ditto for the fried leeks, with the light, herbed-crust crunch surrounding firm, fresh vegetable at the center. A new treat, the Tejas Poutine finds a bowl of crispy french fries topped with roasted corn and crumbled queso fresco with tart pickled red onion and spunky Fresno chiles combining for a bright kick (don’t hesitate—go for the optional pulled pork topper). Far lighter, the quinoa-kale salad is graced with a little yam, toasty pepitas, shaved onion, lemon-infused mascarpone, roasted corn, and heirloom tomatoes, then tossed with red-chile vinaigrette.
