Experience the magic of Cedar Hill, Texas, this fall season! With its captivating landscapes, vibrant community, and lots of family fun festivities, the OUTDOORABLE Cedar Hill is your ideal destination to create unforgettable memories this fall.

Cedar Hill is now on the map as a premier venue for Hispanic Heritage Month with the 2nd Annual LatinFest on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 3 pm until 10 pm at Valley Ridge Park.  When you think of the Latin community, the first thing that comes to mind is variety. Cedar Hill’s LatinFest has something for everyone in a free event that brings a diverse community together for one purpose, to celebrate the Latin culture. With live entertainment, delicious food vendors, kids’ activities, and hiring opportunities from local companies there will be plenty of fun and opportunity for the whole family.

An array of vendors will be present to showcase their diverse options of tasty foods and refreshing beverages, while local businesses will proudly present their products and services.  The event then comes alive as we immerse ourselves in the ultimate tribute experience of honoring three iconic superstars of Latin music: SheWolf (Shakira tribute band), Jenny from the Block (Jennifer Lopez tribute band), and ending the night with the party hits of Dale 305 (Pitbull tribute band)!

Make sure to taste and cast your vote at the Hot Sauce Contest, where home-based and restaurant entries from around the area will compete for the titles of Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice for best hot sauce in the metroplex at LatinFest.

October starts off the month with the 86th Annual Country Day on the Hill in Historic Downtown, which kicks off on October 13 at 5:30 pm with the Old Settlers Reunion. The Old Settler’s Reunion evening event has been a long-standing tradition that culminates with crowning the King and Queen of Cedar Hill.  The newly crowned King and Queen become part of the all-day event on October 14 from 9 am – 6 pm on Saturday that starts with a parade through the square and is joined with vendor booths, kids activities, and live entertainment on three stages during the day. If you are looking for that small town feel of an event for your family memories, this is the perfect occasion!

October ends the month on October 28 from 6 pm – 8 pm in the Historic Downtown square with the annual Scare in the Square. The event is Halloween costume fun for the whole family and a safe environment to take the kids trick-or-treating with booths representing local businesses, organizations, and Cedar Hill city departments.

Last, but absolutely not least, the holidays are not complete without being a part of Holiday on the Hill on Thursday, December 7 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm in Historic Downtown for the official start of the holiday season. There will be plenty of holiday kids’ activities and games, live performances, and, of course, photos with Santa. The best part of the night will be the lighting of the grandiose Cedar Hill Christmas tree.

We have so many events to enjoy this holiday season, but we have also built a reputation as the premier shopping destination for all your holiday shopping needs in the region with 11 retail centers, most within a convenient one-mile radius of U.S. Highway 67 and FM 1382. Shop with national retailers at Hillside Village, our outdoor shopping center, or wander through one-of-a-kind shops and boutiques in Historic Downtown. Either way, it is hard to believe there is so much great shopping so close to so many family events happening this fall.

Make us part of your holiday planning and family memories—be sure to include Cedar Hill in your adventures!
