Cabo Bob’s Burritos, known for their homemade flour tortillas, celebrated its 15th Anniversary on July 26th, 2023. Don Brinkman, Terri Brinkman, and John Stepan opened the doors of the first Cabo Bob’s location off Ben White in Austin, TX in 2008. Today, the Ben White location is one of the busiest restaurants and sees many of the same customers who started visiting the store back in ’08. In 15 years, Cabo Bob’s has grown to a total of 9 restaurants in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio with two more locations expected to open in South Austin in 2024.

Since day one Cabo Bob’s focus has been to maintain the highest possible food quality while offering the lowest possible prices to customers. Owner, Don Brinkman, describes the mentality behind the menu, “In 15 years we have only added two items to our original menu and introduced a breakfast menu to the Houston market. Our focus is to make our food better, not constantly adding new specials. We believe in doing one thing right, then repeating it.” Food quality has always been a top priority for the Cabo Bob’s Team.

The crispy fish is made from all-natural, deep lake tilapia from Regal Springs, the steak and brisket are upper choice and prime meat, and the chicken is all-natural. The steak and chicken are grilled on Kamado Joe grills using hardwood charcoal. Most items are made fresh in house daily like sauces, salsas, fresh fried tortilla chips, and desserts. There is no high fructose corn syrup in any of the food or drinks and all the restaurant’s sodas are made with Imperial Pure Cane Sugar.

Catering is a large portion of Cabo Bob’s business. They can cater for a wide variety of events including office lunches, holiday parties, tailgates, pregame meals for athletes, weddings, and more! Cabo Bob’s has catered events over 1000 guests and has yet to find its limit. Their most popular catering option is their 3 Taco “Everything” Bar which includes a build your own taco bar with almost every ingredient on their menu.
