How is this for a “pox-on-both-your-houses” poll? Rasmussen, August 10-11, 800 likely voters: Of the seven major presidential contenders, more people are committed to voting against them than for them.

Hillary Clinton DEFINITELY FOR 32%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 44%
Rudy Giuliani DEFINITELY FOR 25%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 37%
Fred Thompson DEFINITELY FOR 23%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 35%
Barack Obama DEFINITELY FOR 23%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 37%
John McCain DEFINITELY FOR 18%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 33$
John Edwards DEFINITELY FOR 22%, DEFINITELY AGAINST 39%
Mitt Romney DEFINITELY FOR 16%, DEFINITELY AGAINST,40%

Romney’s “against” number closely tracks a Rasmussen poll taken in November 2006 that showed that 43% (and 53% of evangelical Christians) would not vote for a Mormon. Of course, this leaves 44% of voters who are not concerned about Romney’s religion.
