There is no greater adventure than getting out and exploring Texas’s natural beauty. Will Roman, founder of Austin-based Chisos Boot Company and avid conservationist, agrees. In partnership with BMW, he’s traveling the Lone Star State in search of his next big adventure in the great Texas outdoors. Devoted to protecting and preserving the state’s wild places, his company partners with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation to support Texas land conservation, so that the extraordinary wildlife you see in the video series below will continue to flourish for generations to come.

Southeast Texas Alligator Hunting Adventure

On Roman’s most recent adventure, he set his sights on alligators. The once endangered species now supports an ecosystem and way of life for South Texans. Roman met with Casey Hedges, the owner of Porter’s Processing, to better understand the conservation efforts and wildlife implications of managing the alligator population in Texas and beyond. Watch the video above to see Roman with the 2021 BMW X7 in the marshland of Texas.

North Texas Noodling Adventure

Texas is full of fishing excursions, and on this adventure, Roman learned a whole new way to go fishing—the art of noodling. A group of expert noodlers taught Roman how to jump in the water and haul in huge catfish, all with his bare hands. Watch the video above and listen to our specially curated playlist for your drive through the DFW area.

Central Texas Bat Adventure

Earlier in the series, Roman went hiking at the Bracken Cave Preserve to see the world’s largest bat population in action. If you’re looking for an overnight trip, try the Historic Rocksprings Hotel and the Devil’s sinkhole further east. Watch the video above, and check out the curated playlist for your drive from Austin to the preserve to San Antonio. Be sure to follow the map which has some unique stops along the way.
