If you want a breezy venue in which to nosh and drink outdoors (or indoors, in a well-ventilated space), this TV-bedecked beer garden might be the place. Taking over the airy corner location that once housed Keller’s, Mayer’s serves plain, unadventurous American bar food (various burgers and sandwiches, with regular and sweet-potato fries), plus Mexican favorites such as pulled-pork tacos and smoked-chicken taquitos. We especially liked the deviled eggs topped with bacon-chile jam and the blackened-cod tacos, which were drippy with cilantro slaw and sriracha aioli.
