This Montrose hot spot dishes out Euro-American comfort fare, with many dishes cooked on its wood-burning grill. Expect carbs galore—interesting pizzas and pastas—along with fresh salads and hearty protein-based large plates. Order this to go: Puffy-edged pizzas are big on flavor without being overloaded with toppings. Our fennel sausage pizza with Romesco sauce did get a tad soggy on the road, but a piping-hot oven at home crisped it right up. Tender chicken Basquaise with braised tomatoes, chorizo, peppers, and potatoes proved substantial enough for two, and a blistered green bean salad delivered crunch and vibrancy. Pro tip: Call when you arrive and they’ll bring the food to your car. There are several parking spaces in the small surface lot facing Westheimer.
