But Mark’s passion for flight wasn’t just a business venture—it was a way of life. From the moment his father first took him to the airport as a child, Mark was hooked. By the age of 16, he had earned his private pilot’s license, and by 1980, he had begun logging countless hours in the sky, piloting the personal aircraft of former Texas Governor Dolph Briscoe Jr.
Since then, Mark’s love of flying has taken him to dizzying heights, logging over 19,000 flight hours in an eclectic array of aircraft. Mark serves as the CEO of the Uvalde, TX-based SkyWay Group and FlighTime Business Jets. FlighTime was established in 1999 when Huffstutler began leasing aircraft for private travel. The company manages business aircraft for multiple owners, overseeing maintenance, scheduling, FAA certification, insurance and more. The owners’ occasional need for alternative aircraft soon led the company to offer air charter brokerage services.
