Waxahachie is blooming with outdoor fun this spring!  Come greet 300,000 tulips in bloom fresh from Holland with Tulipalooza, a 10-day outdoor celebration benefitting 10 North Texas charities including u-pick-em tulip field on March 8-17 conveniently located at Getzendaner Park. 

Spring fun continues to bloom all season with the Ellis County Livestock Show & Rodeo offering a PRCA sanctioned outdoor rodeo on March 22-23.  Josh Ward will take the stage following the rodeo on Saturday night.  The cowboy theme will continue with the Waxahachie Cowboy Gathering on April 13 with a full day of western music and cowboy poetry culminating at the historic Texas Theater on Main Street.

Waxahachie, Texas USA will make science history and be a science destination the weekend of April 6-8 with Hachie Eclipse of the Heart, a 3-day weekend filled with science, live music, activities for the family and FUN celebrating being in the path of totality for 4m 18.1s on Monday, April 8. 

Railyard Park, downtown Waxahachie’s amphitheater, will be your epicenter of fun leading up to the big solar eclipse day including a free “Here Comes the Sun” concert with Britishmania, a tribute to the Beatles on Saturday, April 6.  Plus, a Pink Floyd “Dark Side of the Moon” tribute laser light show on Sunday, April 7.    

You can also step back in time for the time of your life at Scarborough Renaissance Festival with 20+ stages of continuous live entertainment, jousting, birds of prey, 5 food court areas, artisan marketplace and other merriment.  The dates of the festival are April 6-May 27; Saturdays, Sundays, and Memorial Day Monday.  

The ultimate cultural celebration is the Waxahachie Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 4, around the courthouse square in downtown Waxahachie. 

Add shopping and dining downtown to your list of spring fun where you will find 50 boutiques, antiques and specialty stores, plus 20 unique restaurants and 2 breweries.
