What began as a small food and wine tasting on the grounds of Laguna Gloria has become one of Austin’s most anticipated fall events. Now in its 25th year, La Dolce Vita Food and Wine Festival showcases the growing culinary world of Central Texas with all proceeds supporting the innovative museum education programs that serve thousands of children and adults each year. Over 50 Texas establishments will come together for a vibrant evening celebrating this food and wine festival for education.
Tickets to La Dolce Vita include tastings from some of the most talked about chefs and restaurants in Central Texas, selections from both local and international wineries, and creations by acclaimed pastry chefs. This year, participating restaurants include longtime crowd favorites, such as Ranch 616 and Fleming’s Steakhouse, some of Central Texas’s hottest newcomers, including laV, Chavez, and Pleasant Storage Room, and sneak peeks at soon-to-open and highly anticipated Austin restaurants Fixe and VOX Table.
The exclusive La Dolce Vita Cocktail Lounge—open to premium ticket holders—will include craft cocktails created by the state’s most innovative mixologists, curated by Tipsy Texan David Alan, while providing an enticing spot to kick back between tastings.
This delicious culinary line up, combined with live art demonstrations by The Contemporary Art School faculty members, fresh beats courtesy of DJ Hear No Evil, and the charming setting of Laguna Gloria, will make for an evening to remember. Purchase tickets for $175 – or $200, including access to the Cocktail Lounge, at thecontemporaryaustin.org.
