She also oversees many service journalism packages, including the 2023 National Magazine Award finalist "Springs Eternal." Before joining the magazine in 2017, she was a longtime senior editor at the Austin American-Statesman and served as editor in chief of Austin Way magazine. Originally from South Carolina, she moved to Texas in 2000 and is the proud mother of a native Texan.
