Eat, drink, and be merry with five of the most famous chefs in Texas at the Stephan Pyles Celebrity Chef Dinner in Dallas on Sunday, November 4, from 6 to 10 p.m.
It’s all for a good cause, namely to fund a ginormous professional culinary scholarship of $15,000, awarded by the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas.
Each chef will create a course featuring his specialty: the stars are Stephan Pyles, owner of chic restaurant Stephan Pyles (see picture, right); Tyson Cole of Uchi (Austin); Shannon Swindle of Craft (Dallas); David Bull of the Stoneleigh Hotel and Spa (Dallas); and John Tesar of the Mansion on Turtle Creek (Dallas). Also helping out in the kitchen will be last year’s young scholarship winner, Ms. Tagan Gann-Couch.
Guests will also have a chance to bid on rare and valuable wines at a the wine auction to end all wine auctions following the dinner.
So if you’ve got a spare $175 (per person, tax and gratuity included) lying around, have dinner with the stars on November 4. For reservations, click on the Foundation link above. You can also call 512-327-7555 and make reservations by phone. Oh, and Texas Monthly is a co-sponsor of the event.
